In 2021, she became the first female jockey to win the Grand National in its 182-year history, riding Minella Times to victory at Aintree. This victory came 44 years after Charlotte Brew became the first woman to ride in the prestigious steeplechase.

Champion Hurdle and Cheltenham Gold Cup

Blackmore's success extended beyond the Grand National. She also became the first female jockey to win the Champion Hurdle, riding Honeysuckle in the same year as her Grand National triumph. In 2022, she guided A Plus Tard to victory in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, another historic first.
