Everton FC has officially announced the signing of Japanese centre-back Rion Ishikawa from Urawa Red Diamonds. The 22-year-old defender is set to bring her exceptional skills and international experience to the Toffees, as the club embarks on a new chapter in their history.

Rion Ishikawa, a graduate of the JFA Academy Fukushima in 2022, has already made a name for herself on the global stage. She was a key player for Japan in the Under-20 World Cup the same year, where her team finished as runners-up. Ishikawa also played a pivotal role in Japan's historic victory at the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, showcasing her talent and resilience.
