Leeds United Chairman Paraag Marathe Fully Backs Manager Daniel Farke for Premier League Success

Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe confirms unwavering support for manager Daniel Farke as they prepare for the Premier League challenge.

Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe has put an end to all speculation regarding the future of manager Daniel Farke, emphatically stating that the German is "my man." This declaration comes on the heels of Leeds' triumphant return to the Premier League, clinching the Championship title with a 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle.

Despite a stellar season that saw Leeds amass an impressive 100 points, rumors had surfaced suggesting the club might consider a managerial change in the summer. Marathe, however, has quashed these rumors, expressing his enthusiasm for continuing the journey with Farke.

"I'm very excited to run it back with Daniel and collaborate with him," Marathe told BBC Radio Leeds. "I'm under no illusions that it is going to be easy. The past two seasons the three promoted teams came straight back down but we have something they don't have, we have Daniel Farke first of all."

Farke, who has two years remaining on his contract, has a proven track record in the Championship, having secured the title three times, twice with Norwich City and now with Leeds. However, his previous stint in the Premier League with Norwich was less successful, culminating in a bottom-placed finish.

Marathe acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in Farke's ability to lead Leeds to success in the top flight. "Together we are going to build the best squad we can, with every penny we are allowed to spend to be competitive in the Premier League," Marathe said. "We are going to attack the transfer market and it's something I'm really excited about."

Farke's leadership has been instrumental in Leeds' recent success, particularly during a crucial five-match winning streak that secured the title. Marathe praised Farke's calm and composed demeanor, describing him as a "calming force" and a "superpower" in guiding the team.

"He is such a calming force - presence would be an understatement," Marathe said. "He really has a superpower that way. He told you all he was 100% confident we were going to the Prem after the draw with Swansea, and he believed it and I love him for it."

As Leeds prepares for their Premier League campaign, the unwavering support from the chairman and the proven leadership of Daniel Farke provide a solid foundation for the challenges ahead.
