James Harden's Epic Court Reveal in Guangzhou: A Testament to NBA's Global Influence
James Harden's larger-than-life mural unveiled in Guangzhou during his Adidas UNO Tour, showcasing the NBA's global impact and his enduring popularity in China.

James Harden recently experienced the global reach of the NBA firsthand during his Adidas UNO Tour in Guangzhou, China. On Monday, an outdoor basketball court featuring a massive mural of Harden was revealed, designed by Yin with the 2025 UNO Tour imagery. The court's baselines display the tour slogan "Under No One", a nod to Harden's jersey number (1).
The unveiling took place in the rain, with Harden initially looking puzzled as officials removed the tarp covering the court. He then pumped his fists in joy, expressing his gratitude to the hundreds of fans who braved the weather to support him. "Thank you guys. I know it's rain, you guys here supporting me, I love you so much," Harden said.
Days earlier, thousands of fans packed into a Guangzhou City mall to see Harden, who autographed his signature Adidas sneakers and jerseys. "You guys never cease to amaze me, every time feels like the first time ... I just hope you know the love is reciprocated," Harden wrote in a social media post.
Since 2019, Harden has been touring China to celebrate the latest releases of his signature Adidas shoes. During a 2023 visit, while still with the Philadelphia 76ers, Harden went viral for calling out 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey before being traded to the Clippers.
In late June, Harden re-signed with the Clippers on a two-year, $81.5 million deal. He averaged 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists in the 2024-25 season, earning All-NBA third-team honors. This tour and court reveal underscore Harden's significant impact and the NBA's growing influence in China.
