Lando Norris showcases exceptional skills in the Hungarian GP practice sessions, outpacing his teammate Oscar Piastri and setting the stage for a thrilling race.

Lando Norris Leads the Pack in Hungarian GP Practice
Lando Norris has once again proven his mettle by topping both practice sessions at the Hungarian Grand Prix. With a narrow margin of 0.019 seconds over his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in the first session, Norris extended his lead to 0.291 seconds in the second session, solidifying his position as a top contender for the championship.
A Challenging Season So Far
Norris, who trails Piastri by 16 points heading into Sunday's race, is determined to close the gap. His performance at the Hungaroring, a circuit he favors, was nothing short of spectacular. Despite a minor scare when he ran wide at the final turn, Norris managed to maintain control and avoid any mishaps.
Ferrari and Mercedes in the Mix
Charles Leclerc finished third for Ferrari, four tenths off Norris's pace, while Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion with a record eight wins in Hungary, was three tenths behind Leclerc. Hamilton struggled with his car's handling, complaining that it didn't 'feel good' and experiencing a major lock-up at the first corner.
Aston Martin's Strong Showing
Aston Martin drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso secured fourth and fifth places respectively. Alonso, returning after missing the first session due to a back injury, showed resilience and competitive spirit.
Verstappen's Struggles Continue
Max Verstappen, who recently committed to Red Bull for another season, had a disappointing practice, finishing 14th and over 1.1 seconds slower than Norris. Verstappen expressed frustration with his car's performance, describing it as 'undriveable.'
Looking Ahead to the Race
With Norris leading the practice sessions and other top drivers showing mixed performances, the Hungarian GP promises to be an exciting and unpredictable race. Fans are eagerly anticipating whether Norris can translate his practice success into a race victory and further challenge for the championship.
